Atalanta coach Gian Piero Gasperini has escaped a three-week ban and will be on the bench against Milan and Juventus.

The Atalanta coach had insulted an anti-doping inspector during a surprise visit. He risked a ban up to six months and if he had been found guilty, he would have been prevented from taking any training session during the week.

Gasperini reportedly insulted an inspector during a surprise check and railed against the entire anti-doping system, interrupting an ongoing test on an Atalanta player and forcing the player to go to train.

Today he was heard in the national anti-doping court that ruled out any suspension for the coach.

Therefore, Gasperini will be on the bench against Milan in the last game of the Serie A campaign and against Juventus in the Coppa Italia Final.

Atalanta are level on 72 points with Milan in second place, three points clear of fifth-placed Juventus.
