Atalanta have almost sold out the 3,000 tickets for their Champions League debut away to Dinamo Zagreb next Wednesday.

The Orobici had never been in the competition before and barely featured in the Europa League before a stunning third-place Serie A finish.

They are in a group with Manchester City, Dinamo Zagreb and Shakhtar Donetsk.

The opener is on September 18 in Croatia and 2,700 tickets have already been snapped up, leaving only 300 remaining with a week to go.

The flight organised just to take Atalanta fans to Zagreb sold out immediately with all 180 tickets taken.

There will also be 35 different coaches ferrying the supporters from Bergamo to Croatia, holding 50-55 people each.

Those will set out on Wednesday morning and return straight after the game.

It is reported the Curva Nord Atalanta fans will mark the debut with a large banner that reads: ‘Siamo Arrivati’ (We Have Arrived).
