Atalanta technical director Giovanni Sartori insists reports of Milan interest in Josip Ilicic are ‘baseless,’ while Matteo Pessina won’t go cheap.
La Dea are, as usual, expected to be in the thick of the summer transfer activity, as they launch and develop promising new players.
They also revitalise older figures who have previously been inconsistent, which is why reports have suggested Milan are tracking Ilicic.

“I read about this, but as far as we are concerned, there’s no truth to it. These are baseless rumours,” Sartori told TeleLombardia.
Midfielder Pessina is also a known target for numerous clubs and should get his first Italy start this evening against Lithuania.
“He could become a big name on the transfer market. He is having a great season, confirming his excellent form on loan at Verona, and has found a role that suits him just behind the striker.
“Atalanta will not let go of Pessina easily. If Atalanta do sell a major player, it will just be one.”
