Atalanta are set to sign Valentin Mihaila from Parma, on loan with option to buy, which pushes Aleksei Miranchuk towards Lazio.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportitalia, a basic deal has been done for the Romania international.

It will be a six-month loan for €1m with option to buy for a further €8m, becoming an obligation if certain conditions are met.

He will then sign a four-year contract with La Dea.

Mihaila turns 22 next week and plays primarily on the left wing, where his remarkable pace impressed after the €9.1m move from Universitatea Craiova in October 2020.

He can also play on the right or behind the strikers, giving Gian Piero Gasperini some much-needed tactical versatility.

Parma are in Serie B this season, where Mihaila scored two goals and provided one assist in 13 games.

His arrival will then allow Atalanta to release Miranchuk on loan with option to buy for Lazio.

Meanwhile, Lazio have officially loaned Denis Vavro to FC Copenhagen with an option to buy at the end of the season.
