Atalanta could end up signing both Tammy Abraham from Chelsea and Torino’s Andrea Belotti if Duvan Zapata moves to Inter.
The domino effect will be set off once Romelu Lukaku completes his transfer to Chelsea for €130m.
Inter’s first choice to replace him is Duvan Zapata, with Atalanta demanding €40m plus bonuses for the Colombia international.
La Dea already have Luis Muriel in the squad, so aren’t exactly short on attacking options.
However, Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedullà explains that Atalanta may well end up bringing in two forwards this summer.
Coach Gian Piero Gasperini has requested Abraham, who’d be allowed to leave Chelsea especially with Lukaku coming in.
Torino are getting increasingly worried by Belotti’s situation, as his contract expires in June 2022 and he has so far not accepted the proposed renewal.
It’s reported Belotti’s entourage have offered Il Gallo to Atalanta for this summer.
With Sam Lammers seemingly ready for a loan switch to Genoa, this opens up a slot for Atalanta to reinforce with both Abraham and Belotti.
They are increasingly ambitious, having reached the Champions League for the third season in a row and fought Juventus for the Coppa Italia Final last term.
