As West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca opens up to Atalanta, Inter go back towards Folarin Balogun with reports Arsenal are ready to accept a €35m fee.

The transfer tug-of-war is hotting up between the two Lombardy clubs and the whole situation turned on its head in just 24 hours.

Inter had seemed on the verge of securing Scamacca, but Sky Sport Italia now warn they will not go beyond the offer of €24m plus another €4m in add-ons for the Italian.

West Ham are not prepared to accept that, asking for €30m, a figure that Atalanta are ready to pay after selling Rasmus Hojlund to Manchester United for €75m plus another €10m in bonuses.

Sportitalia now report this evening that Inter have essentially accepted defeat for Scamacca and are going back to their favourite target, Balogun.

Arsenal seem prepared to drop their initial demands of €50m, aware that the striker is not going to get playing time and is increasingly irritated.

The Gunners could accept a €35m proposal from Inter, claims Sportitalia transfer expert Alfredo Pedulla, for the 22-year-old USMNT talent who spent last season on loan at Stade Reims.
