Atalanta are reportedly on the verge of signing Udinese right-back Brandon Soppy in a deal worth up to €10m.

According to Sky Sport Italia, negotiations are at an advanced stage for the Frenchman.

It would be worth €9m for the fee plus another €1m in performance-related bonuses.

The 20-year-old can play in a variety of roles, including right-back, right wing-back or in central defence.

Udinese signed him from Rennes only a year ago for €2m, so his price-tag has since quintupled.

Soppy played the entire 4-2 defeat to Milan in the opening round of the season at San Siro and gave away a penalty with his foul on Davide Calabria.

Last term, he made 28 Serie A appearances, plus two in the Coppa Italia.
