Atalanta director Luca Percassi is prepared for the run of big matches and hints they will purchase Charles De Ketelaere outright from Milan. ‘We are very happy with him.’

It kicks off at San Siro at 19.45 GMT.

You can follow all the build-up and action as it happens from today’s four Serie A games on the LIVEBLOG.

This is the first of a run of fixtures and an extremely packed calendar for La Dea, who play their rescheduled Serie A match against Inter on Wednesday, then go into the Europa League Round of 16 and the Coppa Italia semi-finals too.

“We start the final sprint of the season, we know the importance of every match that we face, it is going to be competitive to the very end for European places. There are many teams involved, it is really a fascinating race,” Percassi told DAZN.

Bologna already beat Verona 2-0 on Friday, so Atalanta need a victory to keep hold of fourth place.

De Ketelaere is on loan from Milan with an option to buy for circa €22m, so considering his excellent form with Atalanta, are they going to make the move permanent?

“We are very happy with Charles and have been since the first day he arrived in Bergamo. He is a fantastic lad, had a super positive impact on the squad and showed the quality we knew that he had, albeit with a few difficulties at Milan.

“It is not yet the time to talk about the transfer market, but obviously we are very happy with what he is doing in Bergamo.”

The Belgian has 10 goals and seven assists in 28 competitive games for Atalanta.
