Charles De Ketelaere had seemed on the verge of a move to Atalanta, but now it’s reported the Milan man’s demands have stalled negotiations.

There were reports in Foot Mercato today that a full agreement had been reached and he would have his medical on Wednesday.

Milan also left him out of the squad for the Trofeo Silvio Berlusconi against Monza this evening.

However, Sky Sport Italia now claim that Atalanta have put the brakes on the entire operation because they consider De Ketelaere’s personal terms unrealistic.

The two clubs have already worked out their part of the deal, as Atalanta are ready to pay €3m for the one-season loan with an option to buy for a further €23m plus €4m in bonuses.

The Rossoneri would also retain a percentage of the sell-on fee for the Belgium international.

De Ketelaere was considered a flop in his debut season, failing to score a single goal for Milan after his €35.5m move from Club Brugge.

It should also be noted that as part of that sale, Club Brugge retain a 12 per cent cut of the sell-on fee.
