Atalanta have pinpointed Lazio wing-back Manuel Lazzari as a reinforcement after Robin Gosens agreed terms with Inter, according to reports.

Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia, the Gazzetta dello Sport and Sportitalia are all confident Inter will sign Gosens over the next 48 hours, on loan with obligation to buy under certain conditions for a total €25m.

Jeremie Boga has already been drafted in from Sassuolo at a cost of €22m, the deal being completed today on loan with obligation to buy on July 1.

Boga plays on the left wing, like Gosens, but Atalanta need reinforcements for the right flank as well.

TuttoAtalanta maintain Lazzari is the candidate with an approach made towards Lazio.

The 28-year-old has struggled to fit into Maurizio Sarri’s tactics as a right-back, preferring a more advanced and attacking role, the kind he used to have at SPAL and in Simone Inzaghi’s Lazio.

Accustomed to the 3-5-2, he would relish the chance to play for Atalanta.

Lazio paid €15m to sign Lazzari in 2019 and his contract runs to June 2024, so a loan with option to buy is possible.
