Fiorentina won’t take up their option on Luis Muriel, so Atalanta and Milan are asking after the Sevilla striker.

The Colombia international joined Fiorentina on loan with option to buy for €13m in January and made a decent impression, scoring nine goals in 23 games between Serie A and the Coppa Italia.

He is likely to remain in Italy, albeit for a different club, as there are reports both Atalanta and Milan have approached him.

Atalanta appear to be very much in the lead with a €15m proposal and would have a valid alternative to fellow Colombian Duvan Zapata upfront.

Calciomercato.com claim Milan have shown interest, but so far have not begun genuine negotiations.
