Atalanta have two new signings wrapped up after agreeing deals for free agents Juan Cuadrado and Rui Patricio, who will both undergo medicals with Gian Piero Gasperini’s side on Monday, according to the latest updates.

Three deals coming for Atalanta

It is a case of one out and two in for Atalanta, who will also sell goalkeeper Juan Musso to Atletico Madrid. Atleti are in need of an understudy to Jan Oblak after sending Horatiu Moldovan to Sassuolo on loan earlier this week.

The Moldovan loan to Sassuolo was the first domino to fall in this goalkeeping transfer chain. To replace him, Atleti agreed a loan with option to buy deal with Atalanta, at a cost of €1.5m for the season, with a buy clause set at €7m.

That led Atalanta to turn to Rui Patricio, who has been available as a free agent after the expiry of his deal with Roma at the end of last season. He will likely provide cover for 24-year-old Marco Carnesecchi.

There will be another new face through the doors in Bergamo at the beginning of next week, as Cuadrado is also set to have his medical on Monday. The Colombian has been a free agent after his one-year deal with Inter expired in June.

Cuadrado will provide cover and competition for recent signing Raoul Bellanova.

Cuadrado and Rui Particio will be Atalanta’s ninth and 10th signings of the summer, following deals for Bellanova, Marco Brescianini, Lazar Samardzic, Mateo Retegui, Nicolo Zaniolo, Ibrahim Sulemana and Ben Godfrey. Charles De Ketelaere’s loan deal from Milan was also made permanent earlier this summer.
