Davide Astori’s Napoli medical has been postponed again, as the Cagliari defender must give up his image rights.

For days now there have been reports all basic details were resolved and contracts signed, waiting only to be deposited with the Lega Serie A.

However, Sky Sport Italia claim the medical won’t be today or Monday either, as the image rights continue to cause a problem.

However, Sky Sport Italia claim the medical won’t be today or Monday either, as the image rights continue to cause a problem.

This isn’t the first transfer to Napoli that has been held up by image rights, as President Aurelio De Laurentiis is adamant players must sign over their rights to the club.

In Astori’s case, he might have to terminate his existing contract with Puma by mutual consent.

The clubs have agreed the transfer for €5m plus €1m in bonuses.
