“Qualifying for the Champions League wasn't our initial objective, but now we've developed a taste for it,” he said, as reported by FirenzeViola.it. “It's right to come out in the open and say that we want to defend our position in the standings.
“In our changing room there are many souls, the type from the Balkans, from Italy, from Latin America and Spain, but in our moments of trouble we are very closely united.
“[Coach] Paulo Sousa has great charisma and personality, and he knows how to instil a winning mentality in you. I respect him greatly.
“I feel like a key player of the group, I'm very happy about my first season with the Viola and that I have so much consideration.
“Maybe these colours bring me luck. I hope I'll find an opponent wearing purple, so I manage to score too!
