Tammy Abraham has been unable to show his best for Roma this season after a strong start to life in Italy and Aston Villa are serious about bringing the Englishman back to the Premier League.
The former Chelsea forward scored 27 goals across 53 appearances last season for the Giallorossi, quickly winning over the fans in the Italian capital with his eye for goal and strong work rate.
Unfortunately for Abraham, he’s been unable to replicate that work with Roma this campaign, netting just seven times in 37 games across all competitions.
Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Abraham has been one of Aston Villa’s top summer targets for a number of months now, desperate to add the Roma striker to their squad.
Multiple other Premier League clubs are also interested in the English striker and the Giallorossi are open to letting him leave.
La Gazzetta dello Sport claimed that Roma wanted around €75m for the 25-year-old, but Longo suggests that they’d be open to offers worth more than €40m, the price they paid Chelsea back in August 2021.
