Premier League clubs are beginning to hover over Turin to monitor the progress of 19-year-old Juventus Next Gen graduate Samuel Illing-Junior, and Aston Villa are said to be particularly interested in signing the exciting young winger.

The England youth international has been in Italy for just over three years, after leaving his boyhood club Chelsea in favour of an exciting new chapter at the Allianz Stadium.

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are keen to avoid another “Coman situation”, referring to their decision to let the World Cup-winning Frenchman depart for €28m in 2015, before realising his full potential both on the pitch and in terms of market value.

In preparation for the anticipated interest in Illing-Junior, Juve handed out a contract extension in December, which ties him to the club until the summer of 2025.

Villa are yet to submit any form of official offer to Juventus, but they are not the only Premier League side interested in acquiring Iling-Junior’s services according to the report.

If Juventus were to allow Illing-Junior to move in the summer, they would likely receive a decent return on their investment, given that it cost just over €100,000 to sign him from Chelsea in 2020.
