Aston Villa are looking to make a move for Nicolo Zaniolo this month and are now in talks for the Galatasaray forward, Fabrizio Romano reports.
The 24-year-old Italian forward left Italy for Turkey back in February, signing a four-year contract with the Istanbul side after his acrimonious exit from Roma. He showed some positive signs in his first six months in the Super Lig, scoring five goals in 11 appearances.
Zaniolo has been linked with a long list of clubs this summer, including Milan, Juventus and some Saudi Arabian sides. A €35m release clause has been included in his Galatasaray contract.
As reported by Romano, Aston Villa have identified Zaniolo as one of their top targets this summer and they’re now starting to work on a deal for the Galatasaray forward.
Villans sporting director Monchi brought the Italian forward to Roma back in the summer of 2018 and now he’s keen not work with the 24-year-old again.
