Nicolò Zaniolo has been subbed off for the third time in a row during the halftime break and Aston Villa fans seem to have lost patience with the Italy international, who has yet to score or assist this season.

Zaniolo started in Aston Villa’s 2-2 draw against Bournemouth on Sunday but was taken off after the first half. The ex-Roma striker had received a yellow card and only registered one shot off target, won two duels from nine and had 43% passing accuracy (stats via Sofa Score).

Emery replaced him during the break and the coach’s decision was backed by most Aston Villa fans on social media, who seem to have lost patience with the Italian striker.

Zaniolo joined the Premier League side on loan with an option to buy from Galatasaray last summer but has yet to score or assist for Aston Villa, so many club supporters doubt the 24-year-old will be signed permanently in 2024.
