Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio praises Carlo Ancelotti and reveals he has three options for his future amid Arsenal and Milan links.

The Spain international’s contract at the Santiago Bernabeu runs out in June 2023 and he has already received an offer to extend his stay at the club.

Milan and Arsenal are among the clubs interested in securing his services and his agents revealed ongoing negotiations with the Gunners a few weeks ago. Asensio has changed his representative since, picking Jorge Mendes.

Agents confirm Milan and Arsenal’s interest in Asensio

“I have one year left in my contract and right now, I am focused on the national team,” he said at a press conference while on international duty with Spain.

“When I’ll finish here, we’ll talk.”

Would he extend his contract with the La Liga giants or leave in the summer?

“I think I have three options, I could also remain here until the end of my contract,” said the 26-year-old.

Asensio has won the Champions League three times with Real Madrid, including this season with Ancelotti in charge.

“There are good vibes and all the conditions to reach the goals are given. For me, Carlo Ancelotti is a football wise man and on the other hand, Luis Enrique is a great coach who has already achieved great things.”

Milan are among the clubs interested in signing the Spain international who scored 12 goals in 42 appearances with Real Madrid in 2021-22.

The Rossoneri are on the lookout for a new right winger and will listen to offers for Alexis Saelemaekers in the summer. The future of Junior Messias remains up in the air, but the Rossoneri could make his loan move permanent given that his club Crotone have been relegated to Serie C.
