Estudiantes midfielder Santiago Ascacibar “has been in contact with several Serie A clubs, the same is true of Germany and Spain,” confirmed his agent.
The 20-year-old is the captain of the Argentina Under-20 squad and has been nicknamed the ‘new Javier Mascherano.’
Atletico Madrid, Roma, Fiorentina and Sassuolo have all been linked with the player.
“He is a complete midfielder, both when defending and building moves going forward,” agent Facundo Fraga told Calciomercato.it.
