Kwadwo Asamoah says he didn’t think twice about joining Cagliari and reveals how he can help the Sardinians.

The former Inter, Juve and Udinese defender moved to the Sardegna Arena as a free agent on the deadline day.

“I am feeling well, I’ve been training alone over the last three months, but I am ready even if I miss games,” the Ghana international said at his unveiling press conference.

“I thought I could move abroad, but when Cagliari called me, I didn’t think twice about it," the 32-year-old revealed.

“I want to thank those who gave me the possibility to move to this club. I know the team is not going through a nice moment, but there are strong footballers and a good coach. I hope things will get better."

Cagliari are involved in the race for Serie A survival with 15 points in 20 games.

“The experience I’ve had in Italy has served me so much in my growth," Asamoah claimed.

“I’ll try to help the team. It’s important to be focused on trainings, we must be a solid group and we have all the necessary qualities to do it. I’ll try to give my best for this team.”
