As Frattesi leans towards Roma, Inter go for Milinkovic-Savic

There are several reports pointing towards Davide Frattesi pushing for Roma, so Inter are instead leaning towards Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic.

It had been assumed that the Nerazzurri would go in for Frattesi the moment they managed to sell Marcelo Brozovic to Al-Nassr for €23m.

Considering Brozovic is keeping them waiting in favour of Barcelona, there are different stories suggesting there are big problems in that scenario.

Calciomercato.com and FCInterNews.it both report that Inter are irritated at Sassuolo’s valuation of over €30m for Frattesi, while the player still has his heart set on returning to his hometown club Roma.

With that in mind, Simone Inzaghi instead suggested turning their focus towards Milinkovic-Savic, who is available for €40m as his Lazio contract is running down in June 2024.

Juventus had also been interested in Milinkovic-Savic, but a reunion with his old Lazio coach Inzaghi would be ideal, not to mention providing him with Champions League football.
