Juventus loanee Arthur is getting back in shape and could return to action earlier than expected for Liverpool.

The former Barcelona midfielder joined the Premier League giants on loan with an option to buy on the deadline day but has been struggling with injuries at Anfield, making just two appearances with the Reds.

This past October, Jurgen Klopp confirmed Arthur had suffered a new muscle injury.

Now, according to Romeo Agresti, Arthur is showing signs of improvement and could return to action earlier than Liverpool and Juventus thought.

According to the report, the Brazilian could be available by the end of the month as the latest exams undergone by the 26-year-old were encouraging.

Juventus hope to sell the Brazilian permanently in the summer as Arthur has failed to justify his €76m price tag in Turin.

Liverpool paid €4.5m for the midfielder’s loan until June 2023 and have an option to make his move permanent for a further €37.5m at the end of the season.

For now, he hasn’t done enough to prove he’s worth that money, but Juventus hope the situation will change in the second part of the season.
