Arthur’s agent opens door to Juventus January exit

Arthur’s agent admits the Brazilian midfielder could leave Juventus in January: ‘He is not suited to Allegri’s football.’

The former Barcelona star joined Juventus in a €76m move in 2020. Miralem Pjanic moved to the Nou Camp for €65m, but the Bianconeri must sell Arthur for at least €50m in January to avoid a capital loss.

The 25-year-old has played just eight games under Massimiliano Allegri this term and did not travel with the team to Venice for today’s game because he was late for yesterday’s training session at Continassa.

“Arthur was picked by [Maurizio] Sarri and his characteristics are not suited to Allegri’s football,” his agent Federico Pastorello told Tuttosport.

“It’s a shame to keep a player like him on the bench, Brazil coach Tite has told Arthur that he has a spot in the team, but he must play with his club. We don’t rule anything out for January. Spain, but maybe even Italy or England.”

Arthur’s struggles at Juventus continue

Last month, Pastorello finalised agreements with Arthur and Federico Bernardeschi, becoming their new agent.

Bernardeschi is getting regular playing time at Juventus, but his contract in Turin expires in the summer.

“There has always been a special relationship with Bernardeschi. He has a beautiful soul and personality, just think about the penalty kicks he took at the Euros,” said Pastorello.

“He is a great professional, he has great eating habits, like Lukaku or Ronaldo, with whom he had a great relationship.

Agent: ‘Lukaku will return to Italy, he spoke to Ronaldo…’

“Federico strongly wanted to join Juventus from Fiorentina, so we can’t exclude his stay, but for now, there haven’t been contacts with the club.”

Pastorello also discussed Romelu Lukaku’s future, saying that the Belgian striker will return to Italy one day.
