Juventus are looking to say goodbye to Brazilian midfielder Arthur and he won’t be brought on their pre-season tour in the United States.

The 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder has never looked a particularly convincing figure in Turin and even less so last season under Massimiliano Allegri. He made 20 Serie A appearances but failed to impress and it’s clear that a new-look midfield won’t feature him as the Bianconeri look to return to the top.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Juventus are looking to send Arthur out on loan this summer in order to avoid suffering a capital loss. His €5m net per season salary and €47m burden on the budget make him an expensive player to retain, so he could move to either Barcelona or the Premier League soon.

Officially, Arthur won’t be joining the Juventus squad in the United States due to injury, but some suggest that it’s simply a sign of the club planning for a future that doesn’t involve the Brazilian.
