Arsenal have reportedly restarted talks with Juventus for midfielder Arthur, which could explain why the Brazilian isn’t expected to join the US pre-season tour.

The Gunners were interested in picking up the 25-year-old back in January but a move ultimately failed to materialise. Now that Arthur has been transfer listed by the Bianconeri again, this summer could be the right time to work out a deal.

As reported by TMW, talks between Arsenal and Juventus restarted recently and the two clubs are hoping to agree a deal for Arthur, who hasn’t been included in Massimiliano Allegri’s plans in Turin.

Some other European clubs are interested in Arthur, including Barcelona, and the Bianconeri are now working on finding the right transfer.

Last season, the 25-year-old Brazilian midfielder made 31 appearances across all competitions, for a total of 1533 minutes. In that time, he provided one assist and generally struggled to impress.

  1. what can he offer? There must be something in him that causes our coach to always point at him.
