According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Newcastle United will make a new bid to sign Victor Osimhen in the summer, but Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are also interested.

The Nigeria international has scored 15 goals in 25 appearances this season, 11 in 20 Serie A games. He remained out of action for nearly two months following a cheekbone injury at the end of November, continuing to score consistently after his return to action in mid-January.

His performances have attracted interest from many clubs around Europe, especially from the Premier League.

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Newcastle United made an official bid in the January transfer window and will make a new attempt at the end of the season. Arsenal are also keeping tabs on the 23-year-old after failing to secure the services of Dusan Vlahovic in January.

Tottenham and Manchester United are also monitoring the former Lille star who joined Napoli in 2020. Spurs could see Harry Kane leave in the summer, while Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani’s future at Old Trafford is uncertain.

Napoli are in no rush to sell their star, given that his €4m-a-year deal at the Stadio Maradona runs out in 2025. Nevertheless, President Aurelio De Laurentiis would consider offers in the region of €100m.

  1. He’s not going to Spurs or Arsenal lol.

The other two could get him, though. But he’d probably reject Newcastrol GTX United until they’re more established.

  2. So sad that Italian teams can’t compete with the EPL money. The only thing that Serie A clubs can do is absolutely keep fleecing these EPL clubs and make them over pay at every opportunity as they must pay dearly for continuing to weaken our competition.

  3. I’ll be gutted when he leaves. Not only is he fantastic player, who’s improving all the time, he also comes across as a very decent man.

Sadly Italian clubs are not in a position to refuse obscene offers, so it’s inevitable that he’ll be gone soon.

The only crumb of comfort is Napoli, just like Atalanta, always do a good job in replacing their out going stars and unearthing lower profile talent.

  4. @Kris

They won’t be for a while, and they’ll be stuck buying wasters and over-priced hype merchants.

But eventually they’ll get the top players. And Serie A will sell their best players to them, unfortunately.

  5. Ferban newCastrol GTX 🤣

    Napoli paid 70m for him
Knowing ADL he would want a minimum of 120m for him & I only see man utd paying that

Good comments above. Serie A sides should fleece the EPL as much as possible If they come shopping here
