According to Il Corriere dello Sport, Arsenal and Newcastle have made preliminary contact with Paulo Dybala, who is also considering a potential move to Milan.

The Argentinean striker is looking for a new team after Juventus told him that he is no longer part of their plans for the future. Dybala’s contract expires in June, so he’ll be available as a free agent at the end of the season.

Il Corriere dello Sport confirms that the 28-year-old would prefer a move abroad. Arsenal and Newcastle United have reportedly made preliminary contact with the striker but haven’t made a formal offer yet.

However, Dybala is also considering alternative options. According to the report, he sees Milan as a possible destination as the Rossoneri will be looking for a new attacking midfielder in the summer. There have been no contacts between Milan and Dybala’s entourage.

Beppe Marotta also hopes to persuade Dybala to stay in Italy. The Inter director is the man who brought La Joya to Turin in 2015 in a €40m deal from Palermo. Atletico Madrid have also been linked with Dybala, who has a close bond with the Colchoneros’ coach Diego Simeone.

14 thought on “Arsenal and Newcastle call Dybala, who thinks about Milan”
  1. Dybala claiming he’s interested in Milan is simply a tactic to get other people to try and sign him.

It’s like when you tell the girl you actually fancy that you like her friend, just to see if she’s into you.

All he’s really doing is seeing if Juve get jealous and try to keep him, or to push Inter to offer more.

  2. Peter I don’t think anyone in their right mind would do that. Players robbed at knife point, overly controlling owner, issues with image rights, I would find it hard to justify going never mind a professional footballer

  3. @Chris2, 18-10-2012- Bonucci attempted robbery at GUNPOINT at a Ferrari dealership in Turin (in broad daylight); 15-10-2015- Pogba’s Turin house robbed; 27-1-2021- McKennie’s Turin house robbed; 19-10-2021- Dybala’s Turin house robbed. You are just repeating territorial tropes. As to the image right and “controlling owner” that’s called good fiscal/business management. Napoli isn’t crying about needing a super league or a capital injection to make up for transfer market failures.

  4. Dybala wants more money, that’s his main motivation for leaving rube.

He won’t get that at inter or Milan. Inter is probably not a very attractive destination either since they will no doubt decline even further due to old players and financial difficulties. They will likely become a Europa League position team for quite a while.

Dybala can get the money he wants in England, even if the club’s he can attract there won’t win anything.

  5. Just take the plunge and move to Inter esp as the club tossed him out with no respect. Milan are not ready to win anything and I just know they will blow it this year as the fixture list is too difficult for them. Inter is the only other club in Italy that can compete or is now ahead of Juventus.
