According to Italian reports, Arsenal are refusing to offer anything other than a dry loan for Juventus midfielder Arthur Melo, despite the Brazilian already looking for a London home.

Goal.com stated today that agent Federico Pastorello was spotted entering the Arsenal headquarters for a meeting with club directors this afternoon.

It is absolutely no secret that Arthur is eager to make the move to the Gunners, where he would get more playing time than in Turin.

Arsenal meet Arthur agent as Juventus identify replacement

Pedro Almeida, who is across many Brazilian moves, claims Arthur is already searching for a suitable home in London.

However, Sky Sport Italia insist negotiations between the clubs are at a standstill because Arsenal are refusing to offer anything more than a dry six-month loan.

Juventus want at least an 18-month loan or an option to buy before allowing Arthur to leave, not to mention ensuring they have a suitable replacement lined up.

They could have an interesting alternative already on their books, as Genoa midfielder Nicolò Rovella could be recalled early from his loan at Marassi.

He’d need medical tests first, as he is coming off a thigh injury.

  1. What a waste of wages he and Ramsey have been.

Surely Newcastrol GTX United would be willing to hand over 40m for those 2? They’re certainly desperate enough.
