The match has been brought forward from the weekend because an Italy-England rugby tie for the Six Nations is taking place in Rome on Saturday.
“Despite the absentees, the structure of my squad allows me to set out an impressive line-up,” said the Cesena Coach.
“I can also continue with the 3-5-2 system, which allows us to pay closer attention when there are world class strikers on the other side. A three-man defence provides us with greater coverage.
“Lazio also have some pretty important players out of action, but they have more strength in depth.”
Cesena have not played since a 0-0 draw at Napoli’s Stadio San Paolo on February 1, as their game with Catania was snowed off and rescheduled for February 15.
“In the first half we had the opportunity to hurt Napoli, but were unable to take those chances. We must be more clinical and make the most of these situations, as we cannot afford any more slip-ups.”
