Inter striker Marko Arnautovic knows ‘very well’ what will happen at Inter next season but is ‘completely calm’ as he wants to remain at the Stadio Meazza.

Arnautovic is among the players Inter are reportedly planning to sell to boost their transfer budget and make room for Albert Gudmundsson, one of their primary targets for the summer.

Nevertheless, the Austria international is ready to play for Inter again next season given that his contract at San Siro runs out in June 2025.

“I know very well what will happen next. I am completely calm,” Arnautovic told sport.orf.

“Journalists talk a lot when the day is long, as we all know, especially in Italy. I still have a contract with Inter, I’m completely happy, we’ve become champions this season,” he added.”

“Nobody said anything to me, not even to my brother [and agent]. I’m preparing for the European Championship, then I’m going on holiday, then I’m preparing for next year with Inter.”

Arnautovic was not a regular starter with the Nerazzurri and admitted this status was not easy to accept.

“It’s difficult; I’m not used to it; I’ve always played from the start,” he said.

“I knew it would be more difficult at Inter. The two of them [Lautaro and Thuram] did an outstanding job, and I’m proud of them.

“The two injuries I suffered this season were bitter for me, but I think I’m back to 100 per cent now.”

Arnautovic scored seven goals in 35 appearances across all competitions this season.
