When Marko Arnautovic was missing sitters against Atletico Madrid, nobody was more anxious than a gambler in Forlì who stood to win €50,000 from an Inter victory.

The Austria international came on at half-time for injured Marcus Thuram and had two extraordinary opportunities to give his team the lead in the Champions League Round of 16 on Tuesday night.

He did manage to score eventually and seal a 1-0 result, making one person in Italy extremely rich.

According to reports, the 52-year-old gambler had bet just €2.15 on an accumulator covering 16 games around Serie A, the Premier League, Serie B, FA Cup and UEFA competitions.

They all came in and the last to go was an Inter victory over Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.

He finally got to celebrate at the 79th minute when Arnautovic fired in the rebound from a parried Lautaro Martinez effort and is now going to enjoy his €50,000 winnings.
