Leandro Paredes has never looked particularly convincing for Juventus and he was forced to apologise after a heated argument with coach Massimiliano Allegri.

The 28-year-old Argentinian midfielder joined the Bianconeri last summer from Paris Saint-Germain on a loan deal with a €25m conditional obligation to buy clause attached. The conditions of this have not been met, so the club have the choice to retain him or not.

On Easter Monday, Paredes was seen having a heated argument with Allegri during an open Juventus training session, a sign of the tension between player and club in Turin.

Tuttosport details how Paredes met with Allegri yesterday to apologise for his behaviour, including skipping the team lunch, and is now expected to join the squad for the Europa League quarter-final clash with Sporting CP.

Juventus have no intention of signing Paredes on a permanent deal, believing that young talent Nicolo Rovella can comfortably fill his spot in the squad next season. The club would also rather use that money to invest in a new signing, like Sassuolo’s Davide Frattesi.
