Argentinean journalist Gastón Edul claims Juventus are interested in Tottenham defender Cristian Romero.
The Argentina international is a former Juventus player, although he’s never made his debut with the Bianconeri.
Tottenham signed him from Atalanta for €50m in 2021 after ‘Cuti’ was named the best Serie A defender for 2020-21.
Now, according to Argentinean journalist Gastón Edul, the Bianconeri want to bring him back to the Allianz Stadium.
The 25-year-old played 34 games across all competitions in 2022-23 and his contract in North London expires in June 2027.
Spurs paid €50m to secure his signature in 2021, while Juventus had signed him for circa €30m from Genoa in 2019.
Romero spent one season on loan at Marassi before joining Atalanta on an initial loan deal with an option to buy in the summer of 2020.
Juventus will listen to offers for some of their defenders, including Alex Sandro and Gleison Bremer and will be able to afford the signature of Romero only after a big-money sale.
Let him go,he let us down many times last season. Is a bit of a liability in the yellow card, red card market.
He’s a walking red card. Swapping Bremer for Romero is madness.
