Lionel Messi lifted the trophy in Qatar after a dramatic 3-3 draw with France and penalty shoot-out.
It ended a 36-year wait for the World Cup, so Argentines united with Napoli supporters to celebrate at the foot of the iconic Maradona mural in the Quartieri Spagnoli neighbourhood.
They chanted Maradona’s song while fireworks and flares went off, honouring the legend who died in November 2020.
That would have been the icing on the cake if the real GOAT could have lived to see the dream once more.
