Fiorentina striker Nicolas Gonzalez has still not recovered from COVID-19, so Argentina officially released him from international duty.
The forward tested positive three weeks ago and most mild cases are resolved in circa 10-14 days.
However, Gonzalez is taking longer to shake off the Coronavirus completely and another swab performed yesterday came back positive.
With that in mind, the Argentina international team confirmed he would not be asked to fly out and has been released from duty for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Uruguay and Brazil.
