Barcelona’s Adriano and Alvaro Arbeloa of Real Madrid are reportedly January targets for Roma.

The Giallorossi are believed to be in the market for defensive reinforcements during the winter window and appear to be looking in Spain for solutions.

Il Messaggero reports today that the capital club were offered Arbeloa before Christmas as the 32-year-old is yet to make a full appearance under Rafa Benitez this season.

The report says that the full-back would be available practically for free, as he is out of contract in the summer.

The newspaper believes that Roma won’t be put off by the Spain international’s €3m per season salary, as the total could easily be reached through bonuses.

Il Tempo writes today that the Lupi are chasing Brazilian full-back Adriano, who has only made three league appearances for Barca this season.

He is believed to be one of the options being considered by sporting director Walter Sabatini as the club look for some mid-season strengthening.
