Now Gianluca Di Marzio’s website is reporting that the former Liverpool man will not renew his contract at Artemio Franchi, and will seek pastures new at the end of the season.

The site reports that repeated delays over talks have led Aquilani to become disillusioned with the club, and as a result he has decided to leave.

It has previously been revealed that Roma are a potential destination, but Di Marzio believes that Toronto FC in MLS are also in the frame.

Aquilani is represented by Andrea D’Amico, who also handles Sebastian Giovinco’s affairs.

The latter moved to Canada this January from Juventus, and the website believes that Aquilani could join up with his compatriot.
