Alberto Aquilani feels he has finally recovered from a long injury and Milan “have many objectives to target this season.”

The Rossoneri are the only Italian team still in Europe, the Coppa Italia semi-finals and are top of Serie A.

“Italy and Euro 2012 are always on my mind, but first of all comes Milan and we have many objectives to target from here to the end of the season,” he told Milan Channel.

“Having reached the Champions League quarter-finals, any opponent we get is going to be tough. Barcelona and Real Madrid are perhaps a step above the rest, but in order to get where we want to be, we’ve got to face them all.”

Aquilani has barely featured in the last three months due to an ankle injury, but is finally finding his fitness.

“At last, I feel good. I immediately felt at home here and as soon as I heard there was a possibility to join the Rossoneri, I immediately said yes. I always hoped for this move.

“I had gone to Liverpool with real desire to do well, so I would’ve liked to have left a better memory of my time there.”

Antonio Cassano is still out of action after heart surgery in November and is an old friend of Aquilani’s.

“We really miss Antonio, as he is a champion. Compared to what he was like at Roma, he’s an angel now!”
