Alberto Aquilani's agent remains optimistic that Juventus will complete his capture from Liverpool.

Juve, who took the player on loan last summer, had the possibility to sign the midfielder outright for €16m, but that option expired on May 15.

Nevertheless, Franco Zavaglia has told Radio Radio that his client could still remain with the Bianconeri.

"There is a better than 50 per cent chance that he will stay," Zavaglia noted. "In a few days the clubs will meet and will reach an agreement.

"Aquilani has had a good season. Negative judgements come from the fact that Juve have had a poor campaign, but the player returned to the Italy squad."

The representative also dismissed suggestions that Juventus' swoop for Andrea Pirlo could see Aquilani sacrificed.

"They are compatible," he added. "If Cesare Prandelli has called both up to the national set-up then they are.

"Juventus signed Pirlo before picking Antonio Conte, but the Coach could even change the system."
