Houssem Aouar is gearing up for a new adventure as his contract with Lyon draws to a close and the talented midfielder has reportedly sent an important message to an interested Milan.

The 24-year-old, who recently switched his international affiliation from France to Algeria, has long been in the sights of a number of clubs around Europe, having impressed with his hometown club for years after breaking into the first team in 2017.

Aouar’s contract expires with Lyon at the end of this season and he is ready for a change of scenery, causing a number of interested parties to emerge.

Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Milan have long been interested in Aouar but still haven’t made him a concrete target yet, wanting to permanently sign Brahim Diaz and relaunch a slow-starting Charles De Ketelaere.

Space could be made in the Rossoneri squad though, especially if Diaz or the hardly used Yacine Adli leave, and Aouar is keen for a move to Lombardy.

The 24-year-old has reportedly put offers from Eintracht Frankfurt and Real Betis on hold as he waits for an approach from Milan, showing his desire to join the club in the summer.
