The Lega Serie A have attributed Genoa’s equalising goal against Palermo to Luca Antonelli, instead of Andrea Bertolacci.

The Grifone played out a 1-1 draw with the Rosanero in Week 12’s closing fixture, on the half-hour mark cancelling out Paulo Dybala’s well-taken opener.

Whilst midfielder Bertolacci was responsible for the shot that beat Stefano Sorrentino, and he was originally credited with the goal, the League have studied the replays and changed the goalscorer.

Whilst midfielder Bertolacci was responsible for the shot that beat Stefano Sorrentino, and he was originally credited with the goal, the League have studied the replays and changed the goalscorer.

Releasing a statement on their official website, the Lega Serie A has determined that replays show Bertolacci’s shot originally off-target and that full-back Antonelli’s inadvertent deflection off his heel was the reason for it finding the back of the net.

Subsequently, Bertolacci drops back down to one goal netted this season in Serie A, where he is joined on that tally by Antonelli.
