Mauro Tassotti says new signings Luca Antonelli and Gabriel Paletta are likely to start for Milan tomorrow.

The Rossoneri have included all of their new acquisitions in the squad which will travel to face Juventus, with the exception of Mattia Destro, who is suspended.

“They [the new signings] have integrated right away,” Tassotti told journalists, filling in for Filippo Inzaghi, who was too ill to attend a pre-match Press conference.

“I think Antonelli and Paletta will be chosen to play tomorrow.

“We’ve had a lot of injury problems, and still have players working with individual coaches such as Zapata and El Shaarawy. It’s hard to work properly when you lose players for a long time.

“De Sciglio we’ve practically never had available, El Shaa has a new long-term injury. It’s clear that in this negative period we’ve been affected by injuries.

“On Sunday [Cristian] Zaccardo played, which he hadn’t done since the pre-season tour of America, and he was the Man of the Match, alongside [Jeremy] Menez.

“A draw would be a good result tomorrow, but to move to the next level we have to put in performances even in games like these.

“We want to play a different game from the first fixture, as a team we don’t want to play a purely defensive game.

“Tomorrow, if possible, we’d like to do something different and hopefully the result will be different.”

Tassotti also discussed Inzaghi’s first season on the Milan bench, and praises his meticulous attitude.

“Pippo is very meticulous, he wants to know and see everything.

“He wanted to bring in a coach who focused only on dead balls. Managing the squad is the hardest thing to do when there are players coming and going.

“You have to make choices, and communicate those decisions to everyone, making sure everyone understands.

“You have to correctly judge what you say to players, because sometimes your words can do as much damage as your decisions.

“And sometimes you’re wrong.”
