Luca Antonelli admits Milan “can’t make mistakes” this season, and praises new Coach Vincenzo Montella.
For the third season in a row, the Rossoneri are out of European competition altogether, prompting yet another summer of upheaval.
“We can’t make mistakes because we are Milan and the past three seasons have not been good,” Antonelli told reporters as the squad departs for a friendly in Bordeaux.
“It’s not the time to make declarations now, we have to shut up, get our heads down and work.”

Montella has replaced Cristian Brocchi on the bench, and Antonelli was asked for his first impressions of the Coach.
“Everything has changed because he changed all the staff, a lot of players have left and more are still to come in.
“We’re definitely concentrating a lot more on possession of the ball, but we’re also working on the physical side of things because in the pre-season training camp you have to put fuel in the fire for the whole year.
“It’s the first time I’ve worked with the ball so much from the first day of the training camp. We’ll try to use it to hurt opponents as the Coach wants.”
