Luca Antonelli has picked up a muscular problem in training, meaning Milan’s only left-back is Leonel Vangioni.

The injury crisis is escalating at San Siro, with Jack Bonaventura out for the rest of the season with a thigh tear and Mattia De Sciglio sidelined for a month with a sprained ankle.

Davide Calabria is also struggling with a fitness problem and has barely played all season.

Antonelli limped off during training today and, according to Sky Sport Italia, is certainly out for this weekend’s Serie A clash with Sampdoria.

It means the only available left-back for Milan is Vangioni, the Argentine who arrived over the summer from River Plate on a free transfer.

So far he has made two Serie A appearances for a grand total of 19 minutes.
