It was reported yesterday that a deal worth around €1m had been agreed between the two clubs which would see the Cameroonian join the newly-promoted side.
Antalyaspor has posted an image on its Facebook page of the striker and club representatives preparing to fly to Turkey, confirming that it has reached an agreement in principle with Eto’o.
There are still a few final details to be worked out, but the deal should be finalised when Eto’o arrives at Ataturk airport at 5.30pm UK time.
The former Barcelona man scored just two goals in 18 appearances for Sampdoria, having arrived from Everton in January.
