Charles De Ketelaere has sustained another muscular injury and is not in the Atalanta squad that will face Sporting CP in the Europa League tomorrow.
The Belgium international had only just made his comeback from a different issue and has now been diagnosed with a strain to the abdominal obliques on the left side of his torso.
He is not going to be available against Sporting CP and Sky Sport Italia suggest there could be a fairly lengthy lay-off, reaching up to five weeks, but more will only be known by how he reacts to treatment over the next few days.
Berat Djimsiti was at risk with flu symptoms, but should be able to play, especially as Jose Luis Palomino, Rafael Toloi, Davide Zappacosta and El Bilal Toure are also out of action.
La Dea have already qualified for the Europa League next phase, but need a point against second-place Sporting to guarantee top spot and therefore missing the play-offs.
Atalanta squad for Sporting CP: Adopo, Bakker, Bonfanti, Carnesecchi, Cisse, De Roon, Del Lungo, Djimsiti, Ederson, Hateboer, Holm, Kolasinac, Koopmeiners, Lookman, Mendicino, Miranchuk, Muriel, Musso, Pasalic, Rossi, Ruggeri, Scalvini, Scamacca, Zortea
