Around 150 Napoli ultras are protesting outside the San Paolo, demanding “respect” and branding players “mercenaries”.
Napoli trained for the first time this afternoon after the debacle that ensued after their 2-2 draw with RB Salzburg in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Aurelio De Laurentiis had ordered the team to go on a week-long punitive training camp in light of poor recent form, but they chose to go against their President.
The training session is open to season-ticket holders but not members of the Press.

Aurelio De Laurentiis had ordered the team to go on a week-long punitive training camp in light of poor recent form, but they chose to go against their President.

As for those without season tickets, ANSA reports an estimated 150 hardcore fans turned up outside the training ground with a banner containing the word ‘respect’.
That was followed by chants of “we deserve more”, “you players are mercenaries”, “only the shirt” and “put the Primavera players on the pitch.”
There was also a refrain for De Laurentiis as fans told him, “only you’re winning.”
The atmosphere is becoming increasingly tense, with a police presence – described as ‘imposing’ – on hand to control tempers, amidst a flurry of smoke bombs and cherry bombs being thrown.
