RB Leipzig owned left back Angelino will arrive in the Italian capital today to carry out his medicals and complete his transfer to Roma.

The 27-year-old Spanish full back will become the latest addition to coach Daniele De Rossi’s squad, adding some cover to the left side of the pitch for the second half of this season.

Roma have agreed to sign Angelino from RB Leipzig on a six-month loan deal with a buy option attached, set at around €5m plus €1m in add-ons. The Spaniard’s loan spell at Galatasaray was interrupted in order to facilitate the move.

As detailed by Calciomercato.com, Angelino is expected to land at Fiumicino airport in Rome this morning at around 10am local time. He’ll head into the city centre to complete his medicals with Roma before putting pen to paper on his loan contract.

The transfer reportedly contains a form of gentleman’s agreement which’ll see the Giallorossi activate the buy option should they qualify for the Champions League, making it a quasi-obligation to buy clause.
