Empoli coach Aurelio Andreazzoli listed Inter’s strengths and statistics, but is confident Andrea Pinamonti will have his say against his parent club.

It kicks off on Wednesday at 19.45 UK time (18.45 GMT).

The Tuscans have already caused a big upset this season with their 1-0 win away to Juventus, while they are fresh from a 4-2 victory at Salernitana.

“We tend to do well in the first half, less so after the break, when we don’t interpret possession as well,” said the coach in his press conference.

“We’re aware that Inter are the Champions of Italy. They are top in terms of shots on target, goals scored, chances created, etc. If you read the names that are just on the bench, you realise how strong a squad this really is.

“Having said that, we’re not beaten before we even begin. We know our limitations and our strengths, I hope we can use them tomorrow.”

It’s a special game for striker Andrea Pinamonti, who is a product of the Inter youth academy and currently on loan.

“Seeing his form over the last few games, I don’t think he needs extra motivation,” smiled Andreazzoli.

“Federico Di Francesco’s injury is not serious, but we prefer to take it slowly and not run any risks. I can confirm Nedim Bejrami will play tomorrow.”
